An art hotel like no other
Mr Chapoutot, the owner, is a passionate collector of contemporary art. With the collaboration of renowned art critic Gérard Xuriguera, that passion gave rise to a hotel with a unique concept in Marrakech.
The hotel is itself a gallery of murals paying tribute to the finest modern and contemporary artists. Monumental sculptures stand throughout — including works by A Sun Wu, Guy de Rougemont and Leopoldo Maler — alongside Erró’s large murals hidden across the garden, adding colour and whimsy.
At the end of the park’s long vista, Mauro Staccioli’s arch spans the hotel’s main pool, completing the scene.
